Dubai Active Show lunged its way into Dubai World Trade Centre this weekend in a show of furious fitness classes, a series of wellness talks and a whole lot of flexing.
The event, which has been combined with Dubai Muscle Show and Dubai Active Industry, forms the biggest gatherings of industry experts in the region, where fitness fanatics and professionals can find inspiration, meet the stars of the industry or even just refresh their workout wardrobe.
The expo ran for three days, featuring an array of fitness classes and wellness talks covering everything from improving your posture to “running the world”.
If you weren’t able to slip into your lycra though, fear not — all of the brands and fitness concepts showcasing their wares are based right here in the UAE, so you can get access them whenever the feeling strikes.
Here, we round up six of the best workouts, supplements and services showcased at the Dubai Active Show to get you feeling your best, from mindfulness in the metaverse to drinking more mushrooms, all year long.
FitnGlam
The event sponsors were the dominating exhibitor at this year’s event, with a basketball court, a clothing store, a weightlifting area and even a dedicated glam squad on hand. And outside of DWTC, the women’s fitness superclub is taking over the city. The self-dubbed “metaverse of health and wellness” is one of the world’s first blockchain-based health and wellness ecosystems, which aims to use technology to improve wellbeing. The app is still currently under development, but eventually users will be able to take part in virtual health consultations with medical professionals, relax at luxury spas and take part in group workout classes – all without leaving the comfort of home. Back on planet Earth, a revolutionary new company is helping alleviate muscle pain, tension and soreness with massage on the move.
